Radeon 7500 in debian.

I need to install the radeon driver for xfree86, but i don't know where to get it, or how to install it from the console =/ If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,
I have a Radeon 7500 too. Running Mandrake 9.1
It detected my card ok, just that some of the 3D acceleration is not available. I have been searching for drivers or modules as Linux calls them, however I have not found any.
You could try www.ati.com and see if you can find any. If you do, please let me know. Cheers

as a thought, check what version of x11 you are using...
x11 4.2 works fine with radeon M7500, 4.1 doesn't work at all...

apt-get testing to get 4.2 (does that make sense? ie not stable)
