Problem getting internet connection :(


Hi

When i boot into fedora 6 which i just installed i can not connect to the internet.
If i boot using morphix bootable CD it auto sets up my nework card and i can acces the internet. Has anyone any tips or suggestions. ISP is virgin broadband uk.

Start by running, as root, 'system-config-network'. That will allow you to set up your network. If you run into specific problems, come back here for more detailed help.

I had that problem yesterday with fedora 7.

I think it was a problem with a recent kernel they sent out. I booted a previous one in my boot menu and I then got online. There was already an updated available with a new kernel. Internet was ok when booting from that one.

Not sure you have the same problem though, as this was 2.6.22....

twas being lazy ,(/*lately*/).
imho ill give more of my spec...
DELL gx50 ram maxed to 512m.
128m duel graphics card (/* and to many monitors each with i tiny problem eg "dah? no red hence no heroes 4 was in 5 etcetc*/
a friends DVD R/RW !*** USB /* butt i cant boot from it

have fedoa 7 DVD but i cant boot from DVD

still morphxic bootable CD and gee check my mail from hotmail yawn. and my shell account(s).

copied win98 from hackers gold. was thinking about install via LINUX as a virtual systemtem etcetc but its sat...day here and i am tired.

How? well you gotta ask!

if moprhix can access the net/bigbrov/etcetc/ALL.

then what am i doing wrong not my machine or the software i (umm you did what?) INSTALLED...

what additional info do you/i need to give.

OKAY 4 MORE DAYS THEN ITS A WIN INSTALL
