Can someone tell me how to create a link / shortcut to my internet connection and put it on my KDE desktop ? The connection is setup, but the only way I can make it dial out ( using mandrake 9.1 - kde 3.1 ) is to go to the control center, give root password, go to the network and internet connection settings, prompted for root password again, and on the modem connection, I click the connect button. There's got to be an easier way to get to it.....
Are you using mdk 9.1 and kde 3.1 ? I've looked for it but have been unable to find it. I remember on older versions of linux it would be under start-kbutton/ networking / www / kppp or something similar....... I'd be happy if mozilla knew it was the default connection and used it when ever it opened but don't see an option in mozilla for setting a default connection either...
Oh yeah, in Mdk9.1 with KDE3.1, if you go into the menu editor (right-click the K, select it) and save the current menu plan, it seemed to update a few things like the addition of the kppp entry.
