Thumbs down PCLinuxOS-minime

I am trying to work through this tutorial, but when I burn the iso to a CD and boot, it has the loading screen, gives the option for "verbose mode" so I can watch it (and I did). But afterwords, it goes blank for a while. Is it supposed to? My CD drive stops as if its done, but what is going on?

I think the verbose mode is so you can employ boot options. I use PCLinux 2007 on my Laptop and desktop. When I need help I goto www.pclinux.com/form and some of the good folks jump in and help.
Your screen going blank sounds like you might need to setup the vid card, I am not sure how as I am new to linux.

Good luck
