I'm very glad to hear that the final release is available. I've been using Test Release 4 and I love it. I think I'll wait a week so that the image is on more mirrors and the download traffic is reduced.

Congratulations Texstar and the Ripper Gang. You make the best desktop distribution on the planet. (Too bad about the multimedia stuff but I suppose that it can always be added after a hard drive installation.)

No need to re-install from TR4. Just carrying on upgrading as normal, but before actually doing the upgrade, check if "initscripts" is upgrading to 8.51-3 or higher. When this happens:

1. Don't perform the upgrade, but install kernel 2.6.18.5 or higher.
2. Reboot and log in as root (yes, I know. Don't make a habit of this!)
3. Now perform the upgrade.
4. Delete the following folders:

/etc/skel/tmp
/home/"users"/tmp

Where "users" is every user, ie delete the file "tmp" om every user's folder. DO NOT delete /tmp

5. Log out as root and log in as your normal user. Instead of /home/you/tmp being created, it will be a shortcut to /tmp
6. Open the File Manager Super User mode, and also delete /root/tmp

In other words the users' temporary files now link to /tmp instead of ~/tmp, which is now a symlink instead of a folder. Apart from that all other changes are taken care of via upgrades.

If you are using a /home/you setup from TR4, and decide to re-install, you will also need to log in as root and delete /home/you/tmp. Or you can do this from the live CD whilst installing.
