Operating as su in KDE.
Hi,
Is there a way to change and operate the gui as su?
I would like to have the ability to copy and install ALL files from within the window manager and NOT have to resort to shell.
I'm using Mandy 8.2 and KDE.

nope, not that i know of, you just log out of your current session and log on as root and vice versa....

I got a solution from another board
LinuxNewbie
from console type in> su -l root
then launch > konqueror
It works.
