openSUSE server install vs desktop
 
i was wondering how easy is it to create a server using suse server? as i understand the server one is has no gui and utilizes commands? is this easier for a newb to work vs the gui?

GUI! Using the command line is great but you have to know the commands or be ready to look it up. Also you have to be ready to really understand the linux filesystem how it works and why it works that way. Opensuse is just as good of a server as the Novell Server if all your doing is makeing a personal server or a low traffic server. At the lab I have 3 openSuse servers running LAMP, samba, and a file server. All run just as good if not better than the Windoze 2003 server one's.
