Ok Here a good question about download linux iso files

Is their a freeware program that can download and split large files into smaller ones like 20 mb files then after all the files are download put them all together again in one iso file?

use downloader for X
or wget, and you can download for a while
then quit and continue later.

I am asking about a good freeware program for downloading linux iso in windows xp not Linux, I need to burn them in windows xp anyway with nero, I have tryed programs like getright but they just don't work too well they seem to take too long download , also for sometime now I been able to get linux online with msn and my winmodem online by downloading drivers for it but I have not been able to get a good connection with my 56 modem anymore , I get around 33 and under that I use to be able to get on at around 48 with my modem but just don't seem to get online too well anymore with MSN 8 , I have tryed netzero freeware isp too and its connection is the same speed as the msn connection but I still use msn more than netzero

I have never seen a program that will break up large files into smaller ones on a download.
However you can use a download manager to be able to interupt and continue at a later date.
Your connection speed is probably slow from one of a number of reasons. The isp your connecting to does not have digital modems, therefore not allowing the 56k connection. Another common problem are the actual hardwires anywhere between your modem and the phone companies switching station.

i think there is prog called flash get or some think like that i am not using windows so not sure but saw it on my friends pc it splits file into smaller parts. then download

I think LeechGet 2002 is cut out for .iso downloads, you can grab it at http://www.webattack.com/ and look it up under Freeware/Download Managers. This is one of the very few applications I miss from Windows. Hope this is handy.
