need help choosing srry


ok i know that there are other post about how to deside and all but all the ones i have seen have out dated links to help guids


ok i have a p4 @ 1.8 with 256ram (upgrading to 512 or 768 soon) and i want to run a small game server and a web site to download files from. for my server i am curently running fedora 3 on it and it works fine but if i ever restart machien (i restart like i should not hard shut down) i all ways get somany errors. usualy with my sql or php or httpd and it is just not working

so i need a realy stable and reliable distribution that is easy to use and has good server function ality. any suggestions?\

Also i am farly new so i defanetly need a gui preferably gnome.
