Need Help! - Apache/jserv & Sles 9 Issue

Hi,

I am currently setting up Apache/Jserv in the SLES (Suse Linux Enterprise Server) 9 box. It seems that my configuration did not work even for the basic installation to view IsItWorking servlet. The Apache Web Server (HTTPD) is working but I could not view the said servlet. I checked the mod_jserv.log and found the following error:

[27/06/2006 13:29:56:574] (EMERGENCY) ajp12: can not connect to host 127.0.0.1:8006
[27/06/2006 13:29:56:574] (EMERGENCY) ajp12: connection fail
[27/06/2006 13:29:56:574] (ERROR) an error returned handling request via protocol "ajpv12"

What is ajp12? Is it compatible with SLES 9? I typed uname -a in the command line to print my system info:
Linux geonosis 2.6.5-7.191-default #1 Tue Jun 28 14:58:56 UTC 2005 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

Our servlet is working in the previous versions of SUSE but not in SLES 9. What do you think is happening? Are there any solution to make this stuff work for me? Or any document that supports JSERV's capability to run in SLES 9?

As mentioned above, I have run Jserv together with Apache Web Server (httpd) but ajp12 error. I have also run Jserv manually via (ApJServManual on) parameter of jserv.conf (Note: I run in /etc/httpd/jserv directory where jserv.properties resides):

java -classpath /usr/lib/apache/ApacheJServ.jar:/usr/lib/JSDK2.0/lib/jsdk.jar org.apache.jserv.JServ jserv.properties

- Running the above command via the command line also resulted to the ajp12 error.

Is there any conflict with the version of java I am using? I currently using:

java version "1.4.2_03"
Java™ 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_03-b02)
Java HotSpot™ Client VM (build 1.4.2_03-b02, mixed mode)

which is packaged with SLES9 installer.

Please advise.

Thanks and regards,
GECOB
