I need a media center linux distribution that meets these requirements:
1. looks decent with composite output of video card connected to a conventional tube television set.
2. supports some type of PC remote control. or should I use a wireless keyboard?
3. allows me to access my music files from a network share.
4. easy to get around for someone new to computers
I tried geexbox but i didn't see network capability.
if you know about knoppmyth, then why this post? does it not have all those things? is mythtv a distro or application that can be isntalled on a distro? have you tried knoppmyth?
KnoppMyth is supposed to be, from waht I understand, Knoppix + MythTV frontend. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me -- it seems to be very, shall we say, "experimental" at this point.
