Moving to Linux

After my Windows XP expire after 30 days from reformatting my hard drive, I decided to move on to Linux. I want to know which is the best and easy for beginners Linux OS to use.

Anything in the top ten at distrowatch.com

The best (for you) is often the last one you try....

See also my "getting started" link below.

Thanks. I'm going to Choose Ubuntu but when you install it, Does it become a 2nd OS? I sorta want to keep WindowsXP in my hard drive so I can activate it next time. Can I switch between Linux and Windows in the Bios screen?

Look at my links below....

You can "dual boot" on one drive, or you can use two drives and switch in the BIOS.

PCLinuxOS .92

This is the distro I use and recommend, Why because it works right out of the box. No need to configure Everything, everything just works. It also comes as a 1 CD install that is a live CD that you can install later if you wish.
