Mouse sensitivity and other issues in SuSE 8.2

Hello all,
SuSE 8.2 seems to work great on my Satellite 5005-s504. There are only a few problems I'm having right now. My mouse seems to be overly sensitive and I have a hard time trying to get used to its movement. Is there any way I can customize this? Also sometimes the mouse automatically double clicks on something when I only click on something once. This is somewhat annoying. Is there a fix for this? And lastly, sometimes my keyboard automatically repeats a few letters or adds in spaces when I never pressed the space bar.

Thanks, everybody, for helping me with these issues. Your help is greatly appreciated.

You didn't mention what type of mouse, but since we're talking laptop I'll guess a touchpad. If this is true, I feel your pain having just installed SuSE 8.2 on a friends laptop temporarily.

The default drivers installed by SuSE may not be the best ones, even tho they work. Start Sax2 from the command line or KDE menu and click on input devices. Click on mouse, add or change mouse and try out different drivers. Do the same for the keyboard. I wish I could tell you a working driver, but since this was a temp job I just added a regular mouse to the USB port.
