Moolux linux save file
Create moolux save
how to make a 1Gb mooluxsave.
This makes a file filled with zero’s called “mooluxsave” in
dd if=/dev/zero of=/mnt/hdb1/Moolux/save/mooluxsave bs=1k count=1000000
Now we put a filesystem on it with
That’s all there is to it! A note regarding mkfs.xfs might be useful. This command has lots of possible arguements to tailor the filesystem but I find the default works best – i.e. without any arguements. Now just add the “changes=” line and everything should work!
can anyone translate this into english for me? I have tried this in a lot of places but I havent messed around with linux in over 10 years so I feel kinda dumb. This is a USB distro I tried installing it on the usb as a hard drive but that just gives me errors when loading and the live system only has up to 512k for save space.
I forgot linux is case sensitive.
Welcome to LQ maddmike71!
Now, can you give more info?
I checked out moolux, seems ok
what exact problem are you having?
the instructions above create a xfs formatted "save" or "persistent"
"container", like a qemu-img, similar
and you can save settings, apps back to it
so, but, there seems to be a discrepency
it should be one or the other i would think?
