Media Center PC Linux Os

Does any of you know of a good Media Center PC Linux distro?

It needs to be able to run on a P3 800mhz, 384mb Ram, TNT2 with a TV Out Port. I want it to be able to play DVIX/XVID movies, MP3's, and have a GUI that can be viewed on a TV. It needs to be able to be networked for transfer of media.

Myth TV :)

well clearly Myttv is NOT a distro in itself... there is KnoppMyth though, a hacked version of Knoppix with Mythtv running by default. There's Freevix ( i think) which a livecd for Freevo (which i prefer a LOT over mythtv). There's also Geexbox which is a dedicated media player cd, weighing it at a mere 6mb! it's pretty neat, and very very fast to load, but naturally there's only so much you can fit into 6mb or iso.

i dont really want a live cd so mabye i could install debian and install either mythtv or freevo. Is there any good Debian based distros that run really light, has a gui and is customizable?

You could install Slackware, it can be as light as you want it to be.

The truth is, as long as you stay away from the really bloated distros, just about any distro will work, just installing whatever additional apps you need. That's the beauty of Linux, it can be just about anything you need it to be.

does it have a network install feature so i dont need to go buy cd's ;-)
