Mandrake User - Fedora?
I'm currently a Mandrake user, but I have copies of Fedora Core, and on my test PC I love it, and a lot. But, media support really bugs me. How easywould it be to get a good mp3 player and DVD player on it compared to the ease of that on Mandrake?

That's easy...
To play MP3's in XMMS, download this for Fedora Core 2, or this one for Fedora Core 1. Then to install, simply: Code:
rpm -ihv xmms-mp3-{version}.i386.rpm The easiest way is to config yum or/and apt-get. Here is an HowTo. Then you could simply use: Code:
yum install xmms-mp3 Boby |
Many thanks :D
I am downloading the Fedora Core 3 Test rightnow, I heard it has KDE 3.3? Isn't the new KDE audio player (Amarok) in it? Will this work on Fedora 3? Sorry with teh questions, but Fedora seems to be a very nice OS and I'm looking foward to diving in XD |

...and I'm using Fedora Core 2 with KDE 3.3.1, and don't have Amarok too.
