Mandrake package management

I have a problem with the source manager.
I īcan't activate a local source for security uppdates.
I just got the message that it will deactivate the source.
Please, can anyone help me out?

What is the local service that you are attempting to activate? Can you turn it on/off from the Mandrake Control Center?

You didn't install the developmental packages? As root, command:
urpmi gcc
An Introduction to the Midnight Commander. You can install it by commanding:
urpmi mc
