Mandrake 9.0 automatic login

The automatic login feature of Mandrake 9.0 seems not to be working. I do not need to log. I am logged automatically after booting the computer. The problem is that my .bash_profile seems not being executed. I set an enviroment variable there, but it only wokrd after having logged out and login again, this time manually with a proper login.

Dou you know how to solve this?
