I suppose a distro coming with stuff out of the box is good, but I prefer to have nothing installed unless I tell it to install

Distro wars exsist because people have nothing better to do than argue. I think one of the best things about linux is freedom of choice. For example, I don't like rpm's so I don't have to use them You might like them so you can use them, more power to you. I think this wonderful quality is often overlooked

I just deleted mandrake 9.0 and changed to redhat 8, due to problems with trying to configure some stuff. Mandrake was a good place to start, as it does autoconfig pretty good, but once I had figured which way was down, redhat became a better option. So far...
