Looking for a light-weight distro

hullo guys,
thanks for the nice work you are doing.
Am looking for a lightweight, fully equiped and real-linux with GUI; linux distro that can suitably run on my old celeron box (500 mhz with 128 mbs). Currently Iam running debian 4.1 but i do not feel my box flying. so please help me if you have any ideas.

Oh, almost forgot- Am looking for something I can install not something that will run on my usb pen or cd-rom like Damn Small linux.
I don't mind if you gave a few links also.
Thank you- in advance

xUbuntu for smaller cpu's

xUbuntu (uses xfce desktop, don't like it but it's fast), btw..most cd based distros are hard drive installable like dammsmall (debian based install, it uses the jwm/twm gui. don't give up on it yet. 4.0 has kernel missing problem, i just copied it from cd to hd/boot/).
get the idea?

object: to find the live cd distro you like, (As they tell you, cd based is slower until you install it) i tried Live-spring 2007, works fine live or install.

My test machine: Compaq Presario 1275 laptop/366-k6-2,32+128=160mb ram,
2mb neomagic128xd video,4gig(stock drive)upgraded to 40 gig,cdrom,floppy,pcmcia;10/100card-or-motorola-bcmwl5.inf -Eman

best of luck to you.
p.s. i've ran mepis 6.0-6.5 on this thing no prob...
