LIVE USB Educational Distro for Kids?

Hello,

I found for Education (but only a cdrom) the following:

- QIMO
- Freeduc-cd

Would you know more, preferably with a simple installation?

Code:

cat file-hybrid.iso > /dev/sdX
Thank you in advance

Doudou is a nice one, and it comes with parental controls for the internet:

Try Sugar on a Stick. It's pretty useful for kids.

At one time I used to use cat to dev/raw but most folks today use dd instead. Many of distro's offer ways like a script or tool or dd.

Many of the tips and tools at www.pendrivelinux.com work for these if they are not hybrid type.

In a real sense, if the distro is newish and has an installer, you can install to a usb just as if it were a real hard drive.

I have copied debian live on a pendrive from http://live.debian.net/cdimage/release/stable/

then
apt-get install gcompris tuxpaint gcompris-sound-it tuxguitar tuxcmd supertuxkart tuxpuck

The problem it is that it is just temporally.

gcompris is really nice

There is the official DebianEdu (also called SkoleLinux). It is similar to EduBuntu. You can also install Debian Edu via metapackages if required.
