Live distro with kernel >2.6.18

As I could read on this forum some people had problems with recognizing the Samsung HD080HJ SATA HD drive. I found that this could be kernel related issue (not sure). Actually, I tried few distributions and the only one which could recognize my HD drive was Slax 6.0.0pre2 (2.6.18 kernel). This is a testing release and, as I like Slax, I am going to wait for the official one. I am also interested in other distributions in general. Any other distro with the Live option I tried had kernel before 2.6.18. I am interested what distributions, at the moment, have kernel greater or equal to 2.6.18. (Live option preferred). I would like to try them.

Greetings

Thanks for mentioning Sabayon. I did not know that it is Gentoo-based. This information is useful to me.

On the other hand, sorry for bothering you.
In the meantime I realised that this information could be seen on distroatch.com (the kernel used in the specific distro etc.). I could see that there are many of them with the kernel >=2.6.18. I am going to download some of them this days.
