Linux with 120 MB RAM


Hi,
I want to know abt a linux distro which can b installed on a computer with 120 MB RAM(!!!) and more than 10 GB of free disk space(no problem here).
A quick reply is highly appreciated.

Slackware, and use XFCE for the desktop.

AntiX is excellent as well.

Slackware is a good choice, but if you are coming from Windows, it can be pretty scary.

As popular sign says, we have two speeds. If you don't like this one, you surely won't like the other....

No matter what OS you install, with 120MB (128?) of RAM, you will have performance limitations. You can make a huge difference with just 64M more. I have an old P3 with 192MB RAM and it will handle just about anything. (Except maybe processing large images or video)

Ditto the comment about Slackware. I've been in the Linux pond for over 5 years, and in the deep end for 2. I see the attraction of Slackware, but it is still--for me--excessively draconian.

Try Teenpup 2008 it's a lite Puppy Distro with all the goodies.
