Linux Installation
I have a notebook by the name Aspire 3050 from Acer and it came working on Vista Home Basic, so I feared the home basic restriction on certain programming softwares and then I formatted the machine and then installed windows XP since I am learning to program.
And I wanted to install Linux also as a dual boot. But it can't be installed, it says that it does not know the monitor.i was trying to install fedora4.
Can anyone help me on which linux to install or does this has to do with having erased Vista.
I installed ubuntu on that very same model and it's fast and stable. I just didn't take the time to get the wireless and webcam drivers installed, because it's not mine and the person that uses it doesn't need that anyways. With a little searching, I'm sure you'll find a few decent maunuals on how to install those drivers.
