Linux as Multimedia edition

I need Linux OS version which not need to install all application which is useful for playing VCD DVD Dat.file etc once you install it wiil work

give me link for this

for example ubuntu 9.4 need to install VLC, VCD protocol plug-in etc i don,t want this because i don't have INTERNET connection to download again and again

kindly help me

There is a reason most distros do not include dvd software. Due to licensing issues in some countries it may or may not be considered legal to include some things.

Dear

I had downloaded linux mint 7 ,main edition ,universal edition ,64 bit edition
but i am facing the problem of install process which could not complete
it gives error

cd or HDD problem but don't have that problem
