Exclamation Linux and Windows in the same partition

Dear all,
since my notebook is very short of disk space :-( I'd like to try some distro where linux and win live in the same partition. I have seen phatlinux but, since the latest update on the web page is somewhat old, I have the impression that it is not longer live...

Do you have any suggestions?
(I am currently running a FC2 at home and FC5 and Debian unstable at work, I have a few years experience with Linux)

Thank you !
Luigi

VMWare might be a good option for you. Check out this link:

Hi mikieboy,
I don't have the need of running windows and linux simultaneously (this will kill the notebook I suppose). Moreover, at least when I tried VMWARE few years ago , the guest OS needs a separate partition (i.e. a huge file on the host os) so that it seems to me that this solution does not help me with my disk space issue

Any help is appreciated!
Luigi

If you have sufficient free space in a partition, simply resize it and free up the space. Then do your Linux install into the unallocated space.

Phat Linux, Zipslack, Bigslack, and DragonLinux are all designed to be installed on a windows partition. There is a performance costs running Linux this way, but they work.

You're better off to repartition and do a proper install though.
