What would be a good distro for a slower laptop? I'm thinking kubuntu or slackware. Which would be best? Would their be another?

Thanks

What's the CPU speed?
KDE or Gnome will be a pain on 128 MB RAM, if you want to stick with either on, you'll want to at the very least double it. If you don't, I'd suggest installing the distro of your choice with XFCE, Xubuntu is based on Ubuntu, basically Ubuntu with XFCE (more geared for n00bs than Slackware is) and is very fast even with 128MB RAM.
Depends on what you want

Hi!
Xubuntu or DSL. Slack and Debian with XFCE or Fluxbox could also be a choice. As mentioned above, depends on what you want.
