Knoppix boot.img

The cd i have does NOT have a boot.img on it, nor can I boot from cd....where can I get a boot.img from?

just dowload the iso and burn it as image, then it should boot just fine

Make sure you just didn't burn the iso. Most cd burning programs have options to make cd from image.
