Question kinds of distros and what they do?

I want to make some choices but t need some expertise knowledge before i can make those decisions.
with five reasons each, which distros are suitable for the following:
1. Home office
2. Campus computer laboratory
3. servers(network,mail,file,etc )

anybody with the solution can forward them to this email address : prayermax@yahoo.co.uk.
