kernel support for PERC H200 RAID controller

I need kernel support for PERC H200 RAID controller on a Dell R610 server, preferably using Debian 5 but another distro might be OK. This is a 64bit machine.
Any pointers would be much appreciated.

I haven't used the H200 but have used various other models of PERC on Fedora/RHEL/CentOS.

Looking at the table here:
http://www.dell.com/content/topics/t...us&l=en&cs=555
I see the H200 is a SAS controller.

I've installed RHEL5 on several of the PERC integrated SAS controllers and think the H200 would likely use the same mptbase and mptsas (though I'm not sure). Based on that I can let you know:

My modprobe.conf on one system has:
alias scsi_hostadapter mptbase
alias scsi_hostadapter1 mptsas

My initrd contains (look at the sas, scsi and mpt stuff):
-rw------- 1 root root 84456 Jul 31 2009 lib/mptscsih.ko
-rw------- 1 root root 37448 Jul 31 2009 lib/dm-zero.ko

I believe all of this comes standard with the recent 2.6 kernels. I didn't build any of this by hand - it is what I got after install.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for this information, I'll have a dig around and see what I can do.
