KDE program bar

I accidentally removed the panel on the KDE menu bar at the bottom of the screen that tells you what programs are open.

Anyone know how to get this back?

Thanks,

KDE panel

You can set up a new panel by useing the kcontrol program. Start kcontrol from the command line, click on Desktop, and click on Panels.

If you are using Red Hat, this may not work because Red Hat has simplified their version of KDE to the point that some functions are missing.

Missing taskbar

I may have misunderstood your question. If you mean that you have lost your taskbar on the panel at the bottom of the KDE screen, then do this:

Right click on an empty area of the panel, click on Add, click on Applet, click on Taskbar.

Again with Red Hat, some functions may be missing.

Ill Try That

I think your second post answered the question. I havent had a chance to test either yet, but i think i have to add the Taskbar applet.

I have the bar at the bottom of my screen with the time, and the menu on it (the red hat symbol) etc, but i want the panel that shows me what programs i have open.

So im sure youve answered it correctly, ill let you know how it goes.

Thanks,

toby
