is there any redhat based distrubation to install usb stick


Hi,
i wish to install my linux to an usb stick i will use same os at work and at home. but i want red hat based or rpm supported distribution.
there is a way i can compile rpm from its source but would it be ok installing rpm after. if i install damn small linux or puppy linux all softwares are installed without rpm so database would be weird would this effect on installing softwares.

You can try installing Scientific Linux Live CD or DVD to a USB stick, they have instructions available. SL is a 100% binary compatible freely available 'clone' of the RHEL family.

hmm thanks i just tried putting knoppix to usb pendrive. it worked but kernel panic happend. kernel panic sync and error about vfs i dont remember but why you think that could happen?

Your welcome, sorry I have no idea why the knoppix on usb memory panics.
