I was just thinking it would be great to be able to have a fully customizable Live Linux CD (boots straight from the cd). Knoppix is alright, but i'd like to update the packages myself, and get rid of all the stuff i don't need so i can load it all into ram.
It would be cool if you could have mini cd with fluxbox, opera, gaim, xmms, xine, console, and a couple other things.

You can do all of this with LifeBoat. LifeBoat is a script that makes a bootable CD using the kernel, etc. from your desktop computer. You can reconfigure LifeBoat any way that you want with the Addons feature.
