Is Linux Mint 7 "Gloria" by far the most user friendly Distro?

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
People who want to try Linux out for the first time would obviously need to start out with the most user friendly desktop which works out of the box and gives no newbie headaches, right?

In my opinion Linux Mint 7 happens to be that Distro as of today. Would you agree? If you think otherwise please state the reason as well as Distro you think is better than Mint 7 "Gloria".

I try to help newcomers to the Linux fold, hence just was curious what others have to say about it.

The most friendly sure is Slackware. Starters! Don't hear this people talking about Ubuntu, GUI's... and that sort!
