Install Windows 8 alongside Fedora 20 Laptop System
Hello everyone!
I have a Lenovo laptop which original supported Windows 8.1 (actually, Windows 8.1 came pre-installed in it, it is G50 Lenovo).
Now that I am now a Linux user and have installed Fedora 20 so as to become familiar with Linux OS, I have transferred most of my apps (which had no alternative for linux at all) using Wine / Playonlinux but some of the apps including some PC games won't work at all.
Hence, in order to tackle this problem, I have to install Windows 8.1 again but I want to keep using Fedora 20. In other words, I'll use Windows 8.1 only when I need some specific programs to run, otherwise I'll mostly use Fedora 20.
Now, I have searched some tutorials and they all are for the scenario when you have Windows installed and you want to dual boot with Fedora but what about when you have Fedora and you want to dual boot it with Windows?
Can anybody please elaborate the steps for me. I have 64-bit architecture.
Thanks for your time. Anxiously waiting for your replies!
I think the problem here is that when you install windows it will completely wipe anything that is already on the disk - this is why all the tutorials you've found instruct to install Fedora after windows. An alternative to dual booting would be to install windows as guest in a virtual machine with your Fedora install as the host. Have you considered this option?

Evo2.
I already have tried the virtualization and some of the applications like Adobe products are working just fine.
What I am afraid of is that since I do have to install some graphics-hungry applications and games, would they even run in a virtual environment?
