Is there any way i can install SuSE to my system, and put the bootloader to Disk similar to Debian?
Ive messed with bootloaders before, and if i get po'ed with *nix and want to remove it, im stuck with the loader. And ive tried the FIX MBR and such SO MANY TIMES and it just doesnt work. My xp boots to desktop then BSOD's
So i wanna just skip it and either use a disk or the windows OS selection menu.
I dont know what u mean by putting the bootloader in floppy.
here is an easy way to clear ur master boot record for windows. Doesn't matter if you have 98,2000, or xp.
If you have a bootloader but no linux put a windows 98 boot disk in, and boot to it.
first fdisk /mbr of course. Then run fdisk, and make your windows partition active. you have to do that if you want ur windwos to work alone.
When you are installing linux, when it offers you if you want to create a bootdisk do so.
And when it comes to bootloader install no bootloader, or if u do, do not write it on master boot record. This way everytime u want to boot to linux u put the disk in and restart and u'll boot to windows.
I am doing the same thing but reveresed. I use the disk to boot to windows. I do most of my work on linux.
well I hope this helps my friend
