How to: test packages with missing keywords.

Off and on when I have had time for about a month now I have been trying to find the correct info/docs. I sometimes encounter the problem that a package I want has a missing keyword (amd64) I found this doc: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handboo...able#doc_chap4

the only thing it says is:

missing keyword means that the application has not been tested on your architecture yet. Ask the architecture porting team to test the package or test it for them and report your findings on our bugzilla website.

now, it says I can test it and report it back to bugzilla... but it doesn't say how.

I have been using gentoo a long time, and linux for about 8 years now. I do nto expect someone to give me step by step instructions, but if it is something simple like an environment variable that would be nice, if it is more complicated then I just need someone to tell me where the document I am looking for is, or a guide, or howto, or even just basic info on how you figured it out yourself.

Thank you.

File a 'bug' report on bugs.gentoo.org. Which package are you attempting to test? Is it even marked ~amd64? It might miss that keyword because of KNOWN incompatibilites.
