Question How does one add a program to the main panel of RH8?

How does one add a program to the main panel of RH8? I mean the windows start menu equivalent. Example: I installed MPlayer and i would like to have it listed in the main menu.

Thanks guys,
Greg

Should be able to add it from your menu editor. Search your menu bar for this option to bring it up to edit. In most cases you have to be root to perform this as well.

I looked and can't find it. RH8 is somewhat different from what i am use to, at least in regards to the menu setup.

Thanks,
Greg

Red Hat 8.0 ships with no Gnome menu editor. Boo-hoo. Apparently the editor breaks support for some weird thing called 'KDE', which I've never used :-)

There is an article Here on how to do it by hand.
