How do I run Knoppix?

Ok, I burned a cd with the knoppix iso, and tried to boot from it and it wouldn't let me. So i extracted the files and then burned it and it still wouldn't boot from the cd. I know I can boot from a cd because, when i have the Windows XP cd in the drive it will let me boot from it. SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sounds like you're having an issue during the burning phase...

what procedure are you using to burn the ISO???

it sounds like first you burned the iso image file to a cdrom, then that didn't work, then you used a tool to view the iso image files, copied them out, and burned them to a disk? neither would work.. most burning software has a "create cd from image file". you may have to edit the file selection to include iso's. then use that.
