Sorry, I was being my usual, cryptic, self but this was what I was getting at.

There's Devuan and there are others but "No SystemD For Me", to my mind, says you need to built it drom scratch or take the word of the distribution's creators that they know how to make an OS. If you know why a particular package is a problenm then, by defenition, you should know why it shoud not be present and, generally, know how to exclude it in many distributions.

It's not easy with a lot of packages to exclude systemD. Many packages for Gnome & KDE (to name 2 big ones) are now being build to depend on SystemD (yes, this isn't the greatest idea, but it makes it easier for them...so they justify it), so you ALSO have to fix those packages to stay away from SystemD. It can be done, but it's not as easy as just removing SystemD and carrying on.

Indeed it's not easy but when you have distributions like Gentoo providing wiki articles to tell you how to avoid systemd it should be easy enough for somebody who knows why they're avoiding systemd in the first place.
If you don't know which packages require systemd, which dependencies it needs and what it provides how do you know you don't want it?
If you were a systemd extremist (one-way\or) you may say other about those distros but like Debian,
probably a great start if someone needs to run without\or it...
