H3knix

Im not new to linux but usually I just mess around on it for internet and multimedia stuff. I came across a linux distro called H3knix it looks ver interesting but I havent heard of it because its not a widely used distro but I was wondering if someone could give me ideas like would I be ok trying this distro or is it a waste of time because Im still a newbie or would trying it make me more knowledgeable of linux. Any replys are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

Welcome to LQ :D Reading through the site, it would appear to be a fairly straightforward distro. I'd suggest that you download the live cd first and have a play with it to see if you like it.

Otherwise, try Mandriva, Novell, Fedora, Ubuntu, Xandros - all focused on the new user.

H3knix is a very nice system I would thoroughly recommend except for one thing: much of the documentation is currently missing from the website (or at least was missing last time I visited). This might make things more difficult for you. There isn't much activity on the forum either, so I don't know how much help you'd get. But I hope things will pick up once h3knix releases a new version that is supposed to be in testing... defintely, keep an eye on this one!
