As redazz mentioned, other than kinda sharing a common background and underlying structure, there isn't really any Linux distro you could directly compare to Mac OS X in terms of functionality - they're all much alike.
You can, however, obtain Mac OS X themes for windowmanagers such as KDE and launchers like the apple dock along with gdesklets to run desktop apps to monitor the weather, e-mail, audio programs, etc. This way, you could set it up to *look* like Mac OX S, with themes also available for apps such as Firefox + Thunderbird to fit in, and I recall talk of a release for OpenOffice to fall in line with the appearance, if one is not already available (though it may only be the Mac version, not the Linux version as I don't think OOo itself is themeable).
Hm, I dont mean functionality or whatever, I know their different, but as far as graphics. Mac seems very smooth, my brother just got a really nice G5 and it looks pretty cool but I know linux can match up to it's GUI interfaces, is there any distro or desktop enviorment or KDE updates etc something to make the transparency, smooth-sliding menus and other such match up or better then that of Mac OS X.
