GrafPup - Live CD second time run problem

I've just discovered GrafPup after following a link on the Puppy site - I got all excited as it's a tiny distro but has loads of design apps ready to roll - as a designer and thinking about the potential to go open source sometime you can imagine my joy! (no...oh well! read on)

Anyways! As you may or may not be aware Puppy and GrafPup can be loaded as a live distro that can then write back info of your session to the media it was loaded on so use a recordable CD with multisession and it will save your settings! Cool! - well so I thought

I've made 2 live cds of GrafPup and they both loaded fine first time.. but on trying for a second time - the PC won't boot of the CD - it goes straight to Window$

I tried to get on to the forums at GrafPup but so far (2 days) have still not received my validation email... so any helop from here woukd be well received.

Thanks fellow penguin huggers...

I dont have any experiance with Grafpup but I do use Puppy so I may be able to help.
Does Grafpup start up with a boot menu ? If it does there may be an option "First boot force multisession". You may have to use this option to get things started.
On Puppy 1.0.8r1 the multi session ISO has this option hard wired in but on the standard ISO you can use this optiion and still save to CD

Hope this helps

Unfortunately theres no boot menu anymore... which is why I was saying that there was no boot from CD. I did use the option to First boot force multisession each time too. Oh well!

I'll give it another try!

I just had a look at the grafpup site itself and noticed that there are two versions available for download. Which version have you got ?

its the beta

1.0.3 version

Perhaps I should try the other version?
EDIT:
bizarrely - I just tried it on my old toshiba satellite pro 4200 series celeron laptop and it worked fine when I chose CD in the boot menu!

But the dual processor workstation at work wouldn't boot from it?!?

Strange

I was going to sugest trying the stable version. But since it works on the Toshiba it may have something to do with the drive itself, I do know that some drive are picky about what type of CD you use CD R, CD RW, etc. Maybe after your fist save your drive is thinking that the disc of a type it doen,t like. Sorry I couldn't help more but this is starting to get past my knowledge.
Good luck.
