Lightbulb Gentoo livecd boot screen

When you boot the Gentoo LiveCD 1.4 you get a nice boot screen with a progress indicator to show how far along you are. Is there any way to get this into your installed version for everyday use? Watching hardware detection and services starting is getting boring... esspecially once you know everything works.

These links might help you:

Gentoo Forums :: View topic - The Gentoo Framebuffer, Bootsplash & Grubsplash How-To

Gentoo Forums :: View topic - Gentoo Framebuffer, Bootsplash & Grubsplash - SUPPORT

A search on the Gentoo forums for "bootsplash" will likely give additional hits if you run into trouble along the way.

Good luck!
