Question Gentoo Install error on boot - what does this error mean?

I am trying to install Gentoo on a Dell Optiplex GX620. I got about halfway through the install, and I cannot boot to any of the Linux partitions on the hard drive. I can boot to the gentoo live cd and the Windows install on partition 1.

The error I get is this (booting normally and in rescue mode):

Unknown interrupt or fault at EIP 0010046 00000060 c0224d3b

I can't find out what this means! Can someone point me in the right direction here?

My guess is you are right - I ended up just using genkernel instead to compile my kernel. It's working now.

Thanks!
