Freetype-devel for freetype-2.1.4-1 (redhat 9)

**********
edit: Whoops, I think this post should go in the software forum.. sorry , could a mod please move it?
*************
I got apt-get for redhat 9, and I let it upgrade everything.

It upgraded my freetype package from version 2.1.3-6 to version 2.1.4-1. So now I have freetype-2.1.4-1 installed, and everything is dandy.

But now I need to install freetype-devel. However, the latest version of freetype-devel is for freetype-2.1.3-6, not my newer version, 2.1.4-1.

So is there any way to install freetype-devel if I already have freetype-2.1.4-1 installed?

I cannot for the life of me find any freetype-devel package that will work with freetype-2.1.4-1.

Thanks very much for any help!
