I have read post concening the problem, couple of days to late unluckily, and was wandering if anyone has any info on if they are working to fix this bug? Tried to post on freespire.org forums but they are all locked. Problem is, as it seem, Freespire corrupts the mbr and causes winxp to no longer boot. The CNR option is really efficiant and would love to use it but wife and son us this pc too and so therefore can not have pure linux on it. I, myself, and new to linux and am trying to learn it and so could not teach them, (blind leading the blind does not work lol)!! Anyone have any suggestions and or comments?
Distribution: Switched to regualr Ubuntu, because I don't like KDE4, at all. Looks like vista on crack.....

Install another distro, in the place of freespire, like Ubuntu or Fedora, or even Mandriva, and you will have a Linux distro that doesn't suck, and the new linux distro will find your windows OS, and put it into a boot menu for you.
If that doesn't work let us know, there are a few other things you could try, but are more complex.
Thanks budword, but already reformatted and put winxp back on. I liked what little I got to use of freespire but can not have a pure linux box atm. Am about to attempt to put mandriva 2009 free on as a duel boot with winxp, anyone know if they have any problems co-exsisting?
