Better for what? They have a lot of things in common so you'll have to be more precise about what you want to compare between the two.

Well, Fedora is bleeding edge and potentially unstable by design - seriously, it's purpose is to be a test bed. CentOS is an enterprise level OS based on Red Hat - so it's got to be stable.

They have more or less the same features, but CentOS is a lot more stable than Fedora Core.
