Emails arrive as Read Only

HTML emails we send arrive and receiver cannot use reply feature. It seems that along the way, the email was made Read Only. What causes? Can I keep it from occuring?

Can't reply? That sounds like an end user problem, not a sending email problem. What client are they using? How or what MTA do you use to send such emails?
