Question download mp3 podcasts fedora7


new laptop with fedora 7. i know i cannot play or listen to mp3 files on the laptop; however, is there a way to download mp3 podcasts to my laptop and transfer them to my mp3 player for later listening?...newbie jaz620

If that's because of the codec license stuff there's probably more that a few listings of steps at LQ how to work around that. What applied to FC1 tru FC6 should apply to F7 as well. If that's because of driver hassles try to post hardware/software details (and errors if any).

If you want a more full featured way of syncing podcasts, Amarok has some good utilities. You can set it up to download podcasts as their updated, and you can transfer media onto different devices through the program

Most DAP's are recognised as USB storage, connect, drag files over in file manager (or cp).
